On February 29, Xu Jinghe, CPC Leading Group Member and Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, carried out an investigation in Beijing for the development of medical robot industry and quality supervision. He visited Beijing Surgerii Robotics Company Limited and Beijing HURWA-ROBOT Medical Technology Co., Ltd. to know the requirements of industrial innovation and high-quality development, and then visited Beijing Institute of Medical Device Testing to investigate the construction of inspection and testing capabilities and the quality inspection activities.
Xu Jinghe fully affirmed the development of medical robot industry and the quality and safety supervision, while stressing that the importance of high-end configuration and intelligent manufacturing of medical devices in leading the high-quality development of economy and society and enhancing people’s health and well-being should be recognized, that the guiding role of policies and technical guidance should be enhanced to serve and promote the high-quality development of industry throughout the life cycle of review, registration and supervision, and that, in accordance with “Four Most Stringent” requirements, the product lifecycle quality and safety supervision should be enhanced to practically guarantee the safety and efficacy of marketed products.
