Oral Medical Device Regulation Forum on Individualized Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Held

On September 19, 2020, the "Oral Medical Device Regulation Forum on Individualized Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing)" sponsored by the Dental Equipment and Materials Committee of China Association for Medical Devices Industry and supported by Beijing DPR Materials Co. Ltd. was successfully held in Westin Hotel on the China Import and Export Fair, Guangzhou.

This forum was hosted by Mr. Xu Shuze from Beijing DPR Materials Co. Ltd., Ms. Pei Xiaohui, the secretary general of the Dental Equipment and Materials Committee of China Association for Medical Devices Industry attended and addressed the forum.



The experts from the Center for Medical Device Evaluation and Medical Device Inspection Center were specially invited to this forum to make a report entitled "Key Points of Registration Technical Review of 3D-printed Oral Medical Devices and Status Quo and Challenges of 3D-printed Denture Product Standards"; Professor Gao Yongbo from the Affiliated Second Hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) shared the "Clinical Application of 3D Printing Technology in Oral Implantation"; Mr. Wang Hui from Beijing Hongyirunhe Management Consulting Co., Ltd. interpreted the "Registration Process of 3D-printed Denture Products" in detail; Mr. Fu Li from Mid-Link Group Company Limited discussed with the delegates on the "Biological Evaluation Study of 3D-printed Medical Devices"; the technical expert Liu Yang from Beijing DPR Materials Co. Ltd. introduced the "Metal 3D-printed Denture Product Materials and Overall Solutions".



This forum attracted hundreds of medical device manufacturers across the country. By expert sharing in half a day, delegates not only had a deeper understanding on the latest policies and regulations and testing standards for 3D-printed denture products, but also learned the latest news in biological evaluation requirements, registration process and material characteristics of 3D-printed denture products.
