Today, the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of National Medical Products Administration, announce the results of special examination and application for new innovative medical devices. A total of 5 innovative products are nominated, including those from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and overseas enterprises.
Up to now, NMPA had publicized 12 batches of innovative products in 2019, with a total of 37 products entering the “green channel”. It is worth noting that there have been 8 cases of overseas products that enter the channel in 2019, accounting for more than 20% of the total.
Judging from the distribution of provinces that enter the green channel in 2019, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou still rank top three. Jiangsu is not far behind, and its status remains stable. Only Shanxi and Zhejiang are nominated among other provinces. Overseas products are nominated for 8 cases, more than 20% of the total, which had reached the highest on record (since the first overseas product entered the “green channel” in 2015).
