The 22nd Annual Meeting of China Health Economics Association Was Held in Beijing - Accelerate the Supply-side Structural Reform and Advance the Construction of Healthy China

The 22nd Annual Meeting of China Health Economics Association (CHEA) was held in Beijing on December 6, 2019 under the theme “Accelerate the Supply-side Structural Reform and Advance the Construction of Healthy China”. Li Bin, the Deputy Director of National Health Commission, and Gao Qiang, the Principal Consultant of CHEA, attended the meeting and made important remarks.


Zhang Zhenzhong, the Vice Chairman and Secretary-general, presided over the meeting. Distinguished guests Li Ling, the professor of Peking University; Ge Yanfeng, the Director of Research Department of Social Development of Development Research Center of the State Council; Fu Wei, the Director of China National Health Development Research Center; Wu Ming, the professor and Director Assistant of Peking University Health Science Center; and Rao Keqin, the Chairman of CHEA, delivered keynote speeches on the theme respectively as follows: Health Development in the 70 Years of New China, Change in Health Demands and Reform of Service Pattern under Population Aging, Establishment of an Excellent and Efficient Medical Health Service System, Implement Centralized Purchasing of Drugs and Advance Supply-side Reform, and Improve Public Health System and Promote Construction of Healthy China. Their reports caused great concerns and praises from the attendants.

Over 1,500 experts, scholars and industrial representatives from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government as well as Taiwan and Macao have attended the meeting. The meeting set up five parallel sessions on medical insurance system, reform of medical health service system, improvement of drug supply guarantee system reform, reform of public health system and health industry to carry out comprehensive and multi-layered academic exchange and experience sharing.
China Association for Medical Devices Industry also assigned representatives for meeting.
