Guidelines for Establishing and Improving the Health Service System for the Elderly

The people’s governments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, all ministries and commissions of and departments directly under the State Council:
At present, the population size of the elderly in China continues to expand, and the demand for health services becomes more and more urgent. In order to address the issues of incomplete health service system for the elderly, insufficient effective supply along with unbalanced and inadequate development, establish and improve a health service system for the elderly in line with China’s national conditions and meet the ever-growing needs of the elderly for health services, the following opinions, based on the “Healthy China 2030” Planning Outline, are hereby put forward with the approval of the State Council.
