Shi Lei, the Deputy Director of Center for Food and Drug Inspection of NMPA (CFDI), and his entourage, arrived at China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI) for thematic research with representatives from medical device manufacturers on July 12, 2019. Fan Xiaodong, the Vice President of CAMDI, and Yang Xiaofang, the Deputy Secretary General, as well as representatives from over 10 enterprises attended the forum presided by Deputy Secretary General Yang.
There has been a heated discussion on the standard system of GMP of medical devices, team of inspectors, methods of inspection, work style of inspection and construction of a clean and honest administration, as well as the difficulties and problems faced by the enterprises in implementation of GMP during the meeting. The leaders and experts from CFDI gave detailed elaborations on the issues focused by enterprises.
In the end, Director Shi made a conclusion to the meeting, “Thank CAMDI and all attending enterprises for their support to our work. We will evaluate your opinions and suggestions carefully and apply them to practical work. We will put ‘staying true to our founding mission’ into practice. This meeting is over, however, our communication with enterprises and interaction with industry have just begun, and it will become a routine work. I hope that CAMDI will continue to play the role of platform to help the government to publicize and implement the policies while help the enterprises to solve the practical problems, and promote the industrial development together.
