The Key Tasks for Deepening the Healthcare System Reform in 2019
To implement the task for deepening the healthcare system reform in 2019, we should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and implement fully the guiding principles of the Party's 19th National Congress and the second and third plenary sessions of its 19th Central Committee. Meanwhile, we should also fully implement all major policies and plans of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on implementing the Healthy China strategy and deepening the healthcare system reform. Moreover, we should adhere to putting people's health at the center and uphold the principles of ensuring basic services, improving such services at the grass-roots level and establishing the effective mechanisms. Additionally, we should shift the focus on healthcare from treating illnesses to enhancing people’s health, implement “prevention first” policy and strengthen health promotion and disease prevention. Finally, we should strictly focus on the problem of “expensive medical bills and difficult access to quality medical services”, deepen the coordinated reform of medical services, health insurance, and the medicine industry, as well as unswervingly promote the effective implementation of medical reform and ensure its benefits for our people.I.
