The inauguration ceremony of Committee of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgical Devices under CAMDI was held in Beijing on May 20, 2019, and the experts around China and representatives from domestic and foreign enterprises attended the ceremony.

On the special day of May 20, the inauguration ceremony of Committee of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgical Devices (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) was held. The Committee is not the first association in the field of medical cosmetology, but it will give full play to its functions and professional advantages in the industry, and well utilize the platform advantages as the sole national industrial organization specialized in R&D and technical standards and regulations of the plastic and cosmetic industry in the medical device industry so as to actively provide services targeted at industrial entities including members, governments, enterprises and medical institutions according to the philosophy of technology orientation, pioneering and innovation.
Zhao Hongyi was elected as the chairman of the Committee and she gave a speech on behalf of the first council. She said that the Committee would adhere to the principles of safeguarding common benefits and lawful rights and interests of member units, guiding the compliant development of plastic and cosmetic medical devices in the industry, and guaranteeing the physical and mental health of the public to promote the healthy development of the medical cosmetology in China with the support of you.
Meanwhile, Yu Xinhua, the Director of the Medical Device Standardization Administration Center of National Medical Products Administration (hereinafter referred to as NMPA), and Mu Ruihong, the Deputy Director of the Center attended the first Symposium on Policies for Classified Supervision of Plastic and Cosmetic Medical Devices as invited by the Committee. The Secretary General Yang Xiaofang presided over the symposium. The Director Yu Xinhua and Deputy Director Mu Ruihong collected opinions from clinical doctors and enterprises on the classification and supervision of cosmetic medical devices at the symposium. Attendees actively discussed the standards for cosmetic medical devices, classified management, raw material certification and current chaos in the industry in the warm and harmonious atmosphere. The Committee will explore opportunities and channels to cooperate and communicate with the governments as demanded by member units, solve the problems in the development of cosmetic medical products, better help the governments in supervision, and safeguard the rights and interests of enterprises and consumers to promote the compliant and self-disciplined development of industry.
