The Fourth Meeting of the Fourth Council of Medical Polymer Products Professional Branch Held in Qingdao, Shandong Province

The Fourth Meeting of the Fourth Council of Medical Polymer Products Professional Branch of CAMDI was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province on the morning of August 2, 2018. Nearly 70 participants from 51 councils and above councils attended the meeting, including directors Wu Ping and Zhang Limei from the National Standardization Technical Committee of Medical Infusion Equipment.

The meeting was presided over by Shi Baoshe, the president of Chengdu Xinjin Shifeng Medical Apparatus & Instrument Co., Ltd.

In the meeting, director Wu Ping called for the infusion devices manufacturers to upgrade their equipment as per the new standard to be prepared in advance so that they can respond calmly to the advance implementation on July 1, 2019 or earlier than the date applied for.

In the meeting, director Bu Changsheng, the honorary president, unveiled the purpose and significance of the regulation team under the current regulatory situation. Ms. Li Weiyang, the secretary-general, introduced the establishment of the regulation team and the membership application of the team, as well as the final members, and decided to hold the inauguration & kick-off meeting on the afternoon of August 2. Director Bu Changsheng, the honorary president, Mr. Zhang Honghui, the general consultant of the Branch, director Xu Yanruo, the expert, and Ms. Wang Huasheng made speeches on the current regulatory environment and the Changchun Changsheng vaccine scandal, calling upon all institutions to mitigate risk and take warning from the scandal to improve the product quality and serve the society better.

The council approved the application of Nanjing Shuangwei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Anhui Tiankang Medical Technology Co., Ltd. for the membership of the council.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Wang Yi, the president of the council made a concluding remark. He analyzed the current situation and asked the members to strengthen the consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, uphold the leadership core, and keep in alignment. He said it is an opportunity for the participants to communicate and connect with each other through the Branch to make use of Vertical communication and horizontal coordination to form the conscientious and stable industry order.
