Jiao Hong Attending Sino-US Exchange on Medical Device Regulation

In the afternoon of March 19, 2018, Jiao Hong, Deputy Director of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), attended the Sino-US Exchange on Medical Device Regulation jointly organized by CFDA and FDA. Jeffrey Shuren, the Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at FDA, was invited to brief the attendees the development of US medical device regulations and regulatory concepts, the current FDA measures to implement the 21st Century Cures Act, the innovative action plan and their work plan in future. China and the US also exchanged their own experience and practices in medical device regulation. 200-some people attended the exchange meeting, including the heads and relevant personnel from relevant departments and directly-controlled organs of CFDA, and food and drug administrations of provinces, autonomous regions, directly-controlled municipalities and municipalities with independent planning status.
