On October 10, the groundbreaking ceremony of Medtronic Chengdu Innovation Center was held at the Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park in Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Sichuan Province. The Center is the third project of Medtronic, a global medical giant, in Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. The Innovation Center will be built into an advanced domestic comprehensive clinical training base of multi-disciplinary medical techniques to provide clinical trainings and scientific research platform on multi-disciplinary advanced medical techniques for the medical staff in central and western regions, so as to further improve the medical level in these regions. Medtronic, the largest medical device enterprise in the world headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, is the first TOP500 enterprise in medical device field settled in Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. The cardiovascular surgery, minimally invasive therapy, restorative therapy, diabetes mellitus businesses of Medtronic haven been expanded to 70 diseases. It is reported that the Medtronic Chengdu Innovation Center will provide training courses on diagnosis and treatment scheme of medical techniques of international level, covering surgery, minimally invasive intervention, ICU, medicine, anesthesia, as well as cardiovascular diseases, tumor, respiration, nervous system, gastrointestinal diseases and renal diseases treatment. The Center is equipped with leading industrial simulation training facilities and equipment, helping improve the learning efficiency of medical staff under highly simulated training environment and enhance clinical expertise by stepped course.
