During the official visiting of Honourable David Johnston the Governor General of Canada to China, the Canada-China Symposium on Senior Care, co-organized by Embassy of Canada and Beijing Hospital and Baycrest Global Solutions was held in Beijing Hospital on July 13, 2017.

After speeches of Honourable David Johnston, Wang Jianye, President of Beijing Hospital and Academician Zeng Yixin, deputy director of National Health and Family Planning Commission, the symposium kicked off in form of expert discussion. Xi Heng, vice-president of Beijing Hospital, Lei Haichao, director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning and others discussed how Canada and China can have better cooperation in Pension medicine field to tackle challenges in such field together.

Zhang Lin, secretary-general of the Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Branch of CAMDI, on behalf of the branch, attended the meeting and participated in the discussion.
