A new year means a new beginning. In 2017, we express our warm congratulations on the successful enlarged meeting of the Preparatory Committee of 3D Printing Medical Device Committee of CAMDI held in Shanghai on January 6. The success of this enlarged meeting represents that 3D Printing Medical Device Committee of CAMDI is ready to be founded.
3D Printing Medical Device Committee of CAMDI, serving as the special committee for 3D printing medical device industries, was co-organized by the academicians, giants and some well-known enterprises of the 3D printing medical device industry, as well as domestic distinguished hospital presidents, chief physicians, cathedratic professors, doctoral supervisors, institute directors and principal scientists of national key research and development plans in the 3D printing medical device industry.
The enlarged meeting of the preparatory committee of 3D Printing Medical Device Committee of CAMDI (hereinafter referred to as “3D Printing Medical Device Committee”) was held and addressed by Ms. Yang Jing (vice president of Paper Communication Exhibition Services, the general manager of Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Co., Ltd. and ever honored as one of the Top 10 Chinese Female Entrepreneurs) as secretary general of the preparatory committee of 3D Printing Medical Device Committee on that very day.
After Secretary-General Yang’s speech, leaders present also addressed the preparatory committee. Zhang Lin of CAMDI (deputy secretary-general of CAMDI, secretary-general of Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Branch of CAMDI), Fu Xiansheng, Chairman of the board of Paper Communication Exhibition Services who has always been concerned with preparatory work for 3D Printing Medical Device Committee (board chairman of Paper Communication Exhibition Services, board chairman of Xuntong Publishing Ltd. and member of Tianjin's CPPCC), Zhang Chenping, member of committee of experts (vice president of Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine), Zhang Jinning, member of the Committee of Experts (vice president of Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine), Wang Jing who came from afar, on behalf of Academician Lu Bingheng (associate researcher of 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center for High-End Equipment Manufacturing at Xi'an Jiaotong University, secretary-general of Strategic Alliance on National Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) Industrial Technology Innovation, the assistant chief engineer of Center for National Additive Manufacturing Innovation and assistant to the president of National Research Institute of Additive Manufacturing) and Hao Yongqiang on behalf of Academician Dai Kerong (the chief physician, professor and doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and principal scientists of national key research and development plans). The leaders jointly congratulated 3D Printing Medical Device Committee on its successful preparatory committee! Zhang Lin, deputy secretary-general of CAMDI, said that 3D Printing had been absent from our Association before. However, in recent years, as its application has become more extensive in Precision Medicine, the Association plans to develop 3D Printing Industry. Nearly 40 well-known enterprises in the industry have participated in Medical Device Committee through the preparatory period, indicating its high level and standard! The nationally-known leaders in the field of 3D printing medical application pointed out that the problems of hospitals encountered in clinical practices have to be settled through prompt and close exchanges with 3D printing enterprises engaged in the front line.
