On November 17, the second day of the Third Word Internet Conference (WIC) in Wuzhen Town, Zhejiang, Li Bin, director of NHFPC, Li Yanhong, board chairman of Baidu, Liu Jiren, board chairman of Neusoft, Wang Chen, director of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and Zhan Qimin, the academician of China Academy of Engineering attended the sub-forum hosted by NHFPC targeted at Internet + Smarter Healthcare, the topic of much-discussed industries.

At this forum, Li Bin said during “Thirteen Five” period, NHFPC would popularize the technology of smarter healthcare equipment such as 3D printing, large medical equipment and medical robots, as one of the six emphases to promote Internet + Smarter Healthcare. Firstly, establish a National, Provincial, Municipal and County Population health information platform of unified authority and interconnection and support the sharing service platform for medical information including medical images, health records, test reports and electronic medical records (EHRs). Secondly, standardize and promote the application of health and medical big data and boost the integration and collaborative application of government health care information systems and public health medical data. Thirdly, promote extending telehealth services to grass roots, remote and underdeveloped areas to help people access the modern medical service system online and enjoy the excellent medical services the same as in hospitals of big cites at home. Fourthly, realize “Three One” project to ensure a family doctor in every family and an EHR under dynamic management as well as a fully-featured health card in every resident, promote the equalization of basic medical services and improve relevant laws and policies and standards to effectively guarantee state and business secrets as well as personal privacy and keep online network open. Fifthly, build the information standard system for population health. Sixthly, accelerate the development and application of smarter healthcare equipment.
