CAMDI Attending the 5th “Cross-strait, Hong Kong and Macao Economic and Trade Forum”

In order to promote the economic and trade cooperation and exchanges of cross-strait regions, Hong Kong and Macao, the 5th “Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Economic and Trade Forum” was held by China Federation Of Industrial Economics, Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Macao Chamber of Commerce in the morning of September 1st, 2016 at the conference center of Beijing Hotel. Based on the theme of “new normal, new thought, new opportunity and new development”, the forum focused on the discussion of how to effectively integrate the distribution of resource, promote economic transformation, strengthen collaborative innovation, overcome challenges and grasp new development opportunities in the new situation of four regions across the straits.

Li Yizhong, President of China Federation of Industrial Economics, Cai Guanshen, honorary president of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, He Dingyi, vice-president of Macao Chamber of Commerce and Lin Bofeng, president of Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, attended the forum and made speeches at the opening ceremony. Lu Yaohua, Vice-president of China Federation of Industrial Economics, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. Liu Shijin, previous vice-director of Development Research Center of the State Council and vice-president of China Development and Reform Research Foundation, attended the forum and made a keynote speech. Nearly 300 experts and scholars of cross-strait regions, Hong Kong and Macao as well as representatives of industrial and commercial enterprises and industry associations attended the forum.

Two dialogue forums were held during the conference. The 1st forum is themed at “Innovate Commercial Mode and Expand New Development Space”, and the 2nd forum is themed at “Seek for New Momentum: Economic Transformation and Collaborative Development”. The representatives of China Association for Medical Devices Industry attended the conference.
