On March 9, 2016, a team of experts led by Prof. Wu Qiyao from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Xu Shan, deputy secretary general of the association, at the invitation of Haikou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, visited Haikou National High-Tech Zone Meian Ecology & Technology City and a symposium was held in terms of the development of Haikou National High-Tech Zone Medical Devices Industrial Development Planning.

Secretary Gu gang, deputy secretary Guo Zhiwei, deputy director Li Dongqing and other related officials from Haikou National High-tech Zone attended the symposium and evening tea party. In the symposium, representatives of Haikou National High-tech Zone introduced the construction planning progress and intended development goal of the Meian Ecology & Technology City. Researcher Gu Hanqing from Tianjin Medical University, Prof. Kang Xixiong from Capital Medical University, vice president Wang Huifang from Shanghai Sunshine Rehabilitation Center, Prof. Wang Jue from Xi’an Jiaotong University, general manager Wang Jia from Shenzhen Creative Industry Co., Ltd. and other participants, by combining their own concentrated fields and the development status and trend of China’s medical device industry, gave constructive advices and suggestions successively on the development of medicine health industry and medical device industry at Haikou National High-tech Zone.

The investigation and symposium was also the kick-off meeting of the association’s project on the medical device industrial development planning at Haikou National High-tech Zone. After meeting, the Association will, combining the special Hainan advantages and following the principle of “policy-guided, market-oriented, innovation-driven and reform promoting development”, organize experts to tailor medical device industrial development planning for Haikou National High-tech Zone so as to jointly promote the healthy development of Hainan industry.
