China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) recently issued the No. 25 and No. 74 Announcement of 2016, which released 186 industry standards for medical devices. These standards include 42 mandatory industry standards and 144 recommended industry standards, involving implants for surgery, disinfection equipment, medical extracorporeal circulation equipment, dental equipment, ophthalmic equipment etc. The promulgation and implementation of these standards will further improve China's medical device standards system, and build a solid foundation for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medical devices and protecting the health of the public.
