Enterprise Gathering of the 4th Chinese Medical Devices Risk Management Forum Held at Beijing

On June 27, 2016, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) Center for Drug Reevaluation (CDR) and China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI) held an “Enterprise Gathering of the 4th Chinese Medical Devices Risk Management Forum” at Beijing Debao Hotel. Hou Renping, deputy director of the National Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring and other relevant leaders and Dr. Jiang Feng, managing vice chairman of CAMDI & president of China Strategic Alliance of Medical Device Innovation (CSAMDI) attended the meeting. Senior leaders from over 40 member enterprises attended the meeting, including Mindray Medical International Limited, Beijing Jingjing Medical Equipment Company Limited, Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ).


The meeting was hosted by Li Xinling, office director of the National Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring, and Hou Renping, deputy director of the National Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring made a speech, emphasizing the importance and necessity of post-market risk management of medical devices, and pointed out that establishing a product monitoring catalog for 100 key products during the thirteenth five-year plan is one of the focuses of the center. Dong Fang, chief of Department of Medical Devices Monitoring and Evaluation made a detailed introduction to the participants and contents of the forum.


And then Dr. Jiang Feng, managing vice chairman of CAMDI made a speech in terms of the background, scale and significance of the forum, highlighting the purpose of the forum to enhance cooperation and communication among manufacturers, medical institutions and regulatory department, so as to facilitate the increase of medical devices risk management level, to explore the risk rules of medical devices in clinical application, helping enterprises build up high quality brand and create industrial development platform.
